Crash trips and SOS events are never auto-deleted — on any plan. The free tier never expires, so there's no forced payment: upgrade only if you want more room. Paid plans are sold through Google Play, which shows the price in your own currency — including GST or VAT where your country requires it. There is no free trial — the free tier is the trial, and it never expires. Cancel any time and you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for.

Does safeBubble sell my data?
No — never. There are no data brokers, no advertisers, and no ad, marketing, or analytics SDKs in the app. Subscriptions are the entire business model, which means you are the customer, not the product. safeBubble does rely on a small number of third parties to function: Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications, OpenFreeMap for map tiles, Sentry for crash reports (release builds only), and Google Play to take payments. Google is the seller for subscriptions and handles the payment entirely — we never see or store your card details, and no payment processor ever receives your location history. None of them are advertising services.
Who can see my location?
Only the people in Bubbles you've joined — and every Bubble is invitation-only. There is no public discovery, no "nearby users," and no way for strangers to find you.
Are messages really end-to-end encrypted?
Yes. Direct messages use the Signal protocol pattern — X3DH key exchange plus the Double Ratchet — with keys generated and stored on your device. Ciphertext is all the server ever sees.
Do I need to pay to get started?
No. Creating an account puts you on the free tier, which never expires and never asks for a card. If you later decide you want more room, Premium and Platinum are billed through your Google Play account. There is no free trial to forget to cancel — the free tier is the trial, and it lasts forever. There is no forced payment at any point.
Will it drain my battery?
Battery care is designed in, not bolted on. Motion sensors keep the GPS off while you're stationary, updates adapt to how you're moving, and location points are batched to wake the radio as rarely as possible.
Which platforms are supported?
safeBubble is built for Android 8.0 and newer. It is not on the Play Store yet — the listing is on its way. An iOS app is planned but not yet available.

We treat every design decision as a privacy decision, and we'd rather tell you plainly what we do and don't do than dress it up.
